This year it was not only about software but several new things. The company launched two new devices Pixel 3a and 3a XL
In I/O developer conference the company gave many details regarding new and upcoming products with major updates and better user experiences to every corner of the Google ecosystem; from search and Google Assistant to the next generation of Android.
Various new updates were made:
You’ll start to see 3D images popping up in Search results. For example, if you do a search for a pair of New Balance sneakers, you can view it from multiple angles and hold it up to your clothes to see if it’ll match.
Google lens covered many foreign languages and it can translate and even calculate a tip at restaurants.
The next generation of Google Assistant will be faster and more intuitive. Moreover now Assitant can even do the reservations too for the restaurants and more and can do bookings too.
New incognito mode in Maps and search will enable more secure. The feature that will auto delete the data and location data. More feature to roll in Android Q.
For deaf consumers, Live caption on Android Q will transcribe things like Youtube videos, podcasts and phone calls. Live relay will relay users who are disabled with the new accessibility user can type and respond to the phone calls by typing on text phone.
the next version of Android will include a feature like dark mode and AI-powered smart reply for any messaging app not Gmail and Google messaging app. Google will push updates directly to Play store and you don’t have to reboot the phone.
The new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will launch at price $399 and $499.
The new nest HUB is bigger and has a wider screen and 6.5 MP camera that double the surveillance. The Nest Hub Max will be available this summer for $229. Last year’s Hub, which is getting renamed to Home Hub, will be reduced to $99 and will now be available in Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain and Sweden.
