Facebook stops Huawei from pre-installing apps on phones

Huawei has been in great news for a few days after the android stops the deal with the company Soon after according to the sources Facebook also ending the deal with the Huawei. The company has stopped the Huawei from preinstalling the app on the smartphone devices and company can get major set back due to this. As many users have lost their trust in the company after the incident. All these have been done in order to comply with U.S. restrictions, a move that deals a fresh blow to the Chinese tech giant.

Though the company can not preinstall the apps existing smartphone users can still use the app without any restrictions and can download it directly from the play store. But it has not been mentioned whether the new users of Huawei will be able to use the app on their smartphone.

Facebook’s move is the latest fallout in the escalating U.S. China tech feud.

The feud is setting fire and restrictions such that the companies are not allowed to even sell the technologies to the Chinese firms without the permission of the US government. They can only sell it after the approval of the government.

Actions are taken:-

China’s Commerce Ministry responded this week by warning it would release its own list of “unreliable” foreign companies in the near future. The officials have blacklisted the company through the company is leading producer and network provider. They say Beijing could use the company’s products for cyberespionage but without presenting evidence of intentional spying.

“We are reviewing the Commerce Department’s final rule and the more recently issued temporary general license and taking steps to ensure compliance,” Facebook said, referring to a 90-day grace period allowing continued support of existing Huawei equipment.

Huawei declined to comment

Google, which makes the Android operating system used by Huawei, has already said that while it would continue to support existing Huawei phones, future devices won’t come with its flagship apps and services, including maps, Gmail and search. Only basic services would be available for future versions of Android. The step can setback the company under major loses.
